Electronics Recycling being Recognized by the EPA

Under the Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Electronics Challenge, some big brands in the electronics industry are being recognized by the EPA.

Companies such as Best Buy, Dell, Sprint, and Samsung have been name SMM Electronics Challenge champions. Among those recognized by the EPA, Best Buy, Dell, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Samsung, Sony, Sprint, and Staples contributed to diverting more than 220,000 metric tons of used electronics in 2013. This is an increase of 7.6% over 2012.
